No ticket matched all six Powerball numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing, and the Multi-State Lottery Association raised the estimated jackpot to $707 million ($309.7 million cash) for Saturday, Aug. 1.
The July 29 winning numbers were 30, 36, 40, 42 and 57, with Powerball 2 and a 2x Power Play, according to the official Powerball draw report. The advertised jackpot for that draw was about $668 million annuity ($292.5 million cash); news outlets had also cited a roughly $663 million figure ahead of the drawing.

One ticket matched the five white balls and won $1 million. The Maryland Lottery said the ticket was sold July 29 at the Royal Farms at 1558 Annapolis Road in Odenton, Anne Arundel County. It did not match the Powerball and therefore missed the jackpot. The winner has 182 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.
Maryland Lottery officials called it the largest Powerball prize in the state during the current jackpot roll, which began after the last jackpot win on May 2.

ABC7 New York and other local outlets noted that Wednesday’s Powerball rollover followed Tuesday’s Mega Millions win in Florida, where a single ticket claimed an about $800 million jackpot. Powerball drawings are scheduled Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights; the next chance at the $707 million estimate is Aug. 1.
